Yeast on East does not collect your data. There is no account to create, no server to sign in to, and no analytics or tracking in the app. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Your recipes, bake schedules, bake log, ratings and notes, pantry jars and the dates you set for them, photos you attach, and your settings are all stored on your iPhone. They are never transmitted to us, because there is nowhere for them to be transmitted to. The app has no backend.
If you have iCloud Backup switched on, your device backup may include this app's data. That backup is between you and Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we have no access to it.
The one-time unlock is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment details. To decide whether you have paid, the app asks StoreKit (Apple's on-device purchase framework), which answers for the Apple ID signed in on your device. A purchase gives us no identifier for you and no way to contact you.
Bake alerts are scheduled locally on your device. Nothing is sent through a push server, and no notification content leaves your phone.
When you share a recipe as a .yoe file, it is written on your
device and sent wherever you choose: AirDrop, Messages, email. It travels
directly, not through us. Shared files contain the formula and steps only:
never your photos, your bake log, or your notes.
When you use Get in touch in the app, your mail app opens with a message you write and send yourself. To help diagnose problems, the app pre-fills technical details: app version, iOS version, device model, how many recipes you have, whether a bake is running, and whether alerts are allowed. Those lines are visible in the message before you send it and you can delete them. Your recipes, bake log and photos are never included.
If you email us, we hold that email so we can reply. We do not add you to any mailing list and do not share it with anyone.
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new use of data.
Rights to access, correct, or delete personal data — under the GDPR, the CCPA, or similar laws — apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. To delete everything the app has stored, delete the app from your device. To remove a single recipe, bake or jar, delete it in the app.
